Police have charged a truck driver from Alberta and a company from Brampton following a crash that left one person injured on an Ontario Highway.<\/p>\n
The multi-vehicle collision happened shortly after 6 p.m. on Thursday on Highway 11 at the intersection of Airport Road in North Bay, the OPP says.<\/p>\n
Investigators say the driver of a commercial motor vehicle failed to stop for a red light at the intersection and collided with a passenger vehicle before continuing southbound while striking additional vehicles.<\/p>\n
One victim was rushed to hospital with minor injuries, police say.<\/p>\n
The Ministry of Transportation investigated the truck and found \u201cmultiple critical defects,\u201d police say.<\/p>\n
The OPP has charged a 29-year-old driver from Alberta and a commercial carrier based out of Brampton have been charged with multiple offences.<\/p>\n
