Edgar Wright\u2019s<\/a> upcoming The Running Man<\/a> adaptation is getting a slight delay, with the Glen Powell-led action movie\u2019s release date getting pushed back.<\/p>\n

When is The Running Man\u2019s new release date? <\/p>\n

The Running Man is now set to release on November 14, 2025, a week after it was previously scheduled to premiere on November 7. According to a report from Deadline, the reason for the delay is simply to allow for the movie to play across more IMAX screens. <\/p>\n

The release date now moves the movie an extra week away from films like Predators: Badlands and Die My Love.<\/p>\n

The Running Man\u00a0remake will be led by star\u00a0Glen Powell<\/a>, with other cast members including Josh Brolin, Michael Cera, Colman Domingo, Katy O\u2019Brian, Lee Pace, William H. Macy, Sean Hayes, and more.<\/p>\n

The Running Man, which is based on a novel by Stephen King, takes place in a dystopian America in 2025. The story revolves around a man named Ben Richards who competes in a deadly reality show to win enough money to help heal his daughter. Powell is playing Richards, while Brolin is believed to be playing the person behind the reality show.<\/p>\n

A 1987 adaptation of the novel was directed by Paul Michael Glaser and starred Arnold Schwarzenegger, Maria Conchita Alonso, Yaphet Kotto, and Richard Dawson.<\/p>\n

The script for the movie was co-written by Wright \u2014 known for movies such as 2004\u2019s Shaun of the Dead, 2010\u2019s Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, 2017\u2019s Baby Driver, and more \u2014 and Michael Bacall. Wright produces the movie alongside Nira Park and Simon Kinberg.<\/p>\n
