Jannik Sinner has been warned about a fearless youngster emerging on the ATP Tour, who could soon be set to challenge at the pinnacle of the sport.<\/p>\n

And this would be a welcome sight for most tennis fans, with the duopoly that has formed at the top of the men\u2019s game having become quite tiresome.<\/p>\n

Between himself and Carlos Alcaraz, they have shared all of the last seven Grand Slam titles, with the last two finals having been between this pair as well.<\/p>\n

Whenever they meet, fireworks are guaranteed, but it would be nice to see some added strength in depth across the ATP Tour.<\/p>\n

Fortunately, there is a great crop of young superstars currently out earning their stripes, eager to usurp
Jannik Sinner<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Jannik Sinner warned that Hamad Medjedovic could soon trouble him<\/p>\n

One such example is a player who has actually just played Alcaraz, losing in a relatively straightforward match at the Cincinnati Open<\/a>, 6-4, 6-4.<\/p>\n

However, Hamad Medjedovic is clearly well thought of, with David Law of The Tennis Podcast predicting big things for him should he fine-tune a few issues.<\/p>\n

The pundit admitted: \u201cYeah, when I spoke to Medjedovic that time, he did voice his frustration about not having been able to translate what is clear potential and clear form in pockets into a sustainable ranking that just has you in all the tournaments easily and so forth.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut I do think he is one of the guys that has real threats, and like, he\u2019s one I would name as a guy that Sinner wouldn\u2019t necessarily love to come up against, because he has point-ending power. <\/p>\n

\u201cIn a one-off match, he backs himself to beat anybody. And it\u2019s the piecing together of the rest of his career that\u2019s been more of a problem.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m fascinated.\u201d<\/p>\n

With his current form though, Sinner has now accomplished something that only the Big Three had <\/a>previously. He\u2019s that good.<\/p>\n

How good really is Hamad Medjedovic?<\/p>\n

Although Medjedovic is yet to win his first ATP title, and has only just enjoyed his best-ever run at a Grand Slam, there is plenty of promise surrounding this young Serbian.<\/p>\n

After all, as the winner of the Next Gen Finals in 2023, beating Arthur Fils in the final, he has earned that hype.<\/p>\n

A two-time finalist in separate ATP 250 events too, it feels as though the 22-year-old is just one big moment away from truly bursting onto the scene, ready to compete with some of the very best.\u00a0<\/p>\n

This year alone, he has enjoyed wins over Stefanos Tsitsipas, Daniil Medvedev, Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard and Brandon Nakashima, to name but a few, and the expectation is that he will continue to topple more and more stars as he continues to progress.<\/p>\n
