Garage rockers The Black Keys kicks off the Canadian leg of the band\u2019s Peaches \u2018N Kream World Tour \u201926 in Vancouver this week.<\/p>\n
This new tour comes after last year\u2019s No Rain, No Flowers tour of North America and Europe. This latest roadtrip takes its name from the group\u2019s 14th studio album, Peaches!, which was released earlier this year.<\/p>\n
Lead singer and guitarist Dan Auerbach has described the 10-tune collection as the group\u2019s \u201cmost natural record\u201d since its breakout 2002 debut, The Big Come Up. The album comes on the heels of a rough year where Auerbach\u2019s father was diagnosed with esophageal cancer.<\/p>\n
Along with bandmate and drummer Patrick Carney, Auerbach helmed the new album pretty much live off the studio floor, resulting in a nice, raw sound that mirrors the group\u2019s live show. The band\u2019s single You Got To Lose is a great example of the sonic dimensions of Peaches!<\/p>\n
