Indiana and Portland played a lower-scoring game than expected last time they met, and I\u2019m predicting they\u2019ll hit another Under in my Fever vs. Fire predictions below. <\/p>\n

Both teams avoid getting beaten at the three-point line, each allowing opponents to shoot about 32% from beyond the arc. The Indiana Fever<\/a> also chases teams off the perimeter, holding their opposition to a league-best 25.2% rate of shooting threes.
That showed in the first matchup between these teams, when they shot a combined 12-for-44 from deep. The Fever<\/a> weren\u2019t able to carry the total on their own, while the Portland Fire<\/a> simply aren\u2019t a good offensive team, averaging 81.8 ppg. <\/p>\n

This 174.5 total is far too high, and I\u2019m taking the Under as long as it stays above 170.<\/p>\n

The Fire have a steal rate of 9.0%, which ranks third in the WNBA. Their eight steals helped keep the Indiana offense from running up the score in their first meeting.<\/p>\n

While I like the Under tonight, there are signs that Indiana\u2019s stars should be able to put up big numbers against the expansion Fire. I\u2019ll discuss why I love Clark to hit her assists total below, but\u00a0Aliyah Boston<\/a> might be an even better bet on the boards.<\/p>\n

Portland is the single worst rebounding team in the WNBA with a 46.9% rebounding rate. Boston got off to a slow start on the boards, but has averaged 10.0 rebounds in her last three games, and should have a field day against Luisa Geiselsoder<\/a>, Megan Gustafson<\/a>, and anyone else the Fire throw at her in the paint.<\/p>\n

The Portland Fire\u2019s 107.1 defensive rating shows how poorly they\u2019ll fare against Indiana on a per-possession basis. Clark has compiled at least 9 assists in four of her past five games, and I\u2019m confident that she\u2019ll hit that total again tonight.<\/p>\n
