{"id":704638,"date":"2026-05-30T22:42:08","date_gmt":"2026-05-30T22:42:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/704638\/"},"modified":"2026-05-30T22:42:08","modified_gmt":"2026-05-30T22:42:08","slug":"finland-defeats-canada-to-reach-mens-world-hockey-championship-final-tsn","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/704638\/","title":{"rendered":"Finland defeats Canada to reach Men\u2019s World Hockey Championship Final \u2013 TSN"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Finland scored three unanswered goals in the second period as they defeated Canada 4-2 at the men\u2019s World Hockey Championship semifinal on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The Finns will face Switzerland on Sunday in the gold-medal game as they seek their fifth title in the nation\u2019s history and their first since 2022.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/live\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/live\/\">Viewers can watch Finland take on Switzerland LIVE on Sunday at 2 p.m. ET\/11 a.m. PT on TSN4, TSN.ca an the TSN App.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Finland was trailing 2-1 entering the second period thanks to a pair of goals from Dylan Holloway and Robert Thomas in the opening frame for Canada.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Captain Aleksander Barkov tied the game less than a minute into the second period and then Konsta Helenius and Aatu Raty put Finland ahead with goals 1:22 apart midway through the frame.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Patrik Puistola also scored for Finland.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Netminder Justus Annunen stonewalled Canada in the victory, making 28 saves, including 15 saves in the third period.
