When they arrived, officers found two people suffering from stab wounds.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The suspected stabber had fled.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Emergency crews provided medical care to the victims but one of them died, according to the SPS. The other was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. IHIT is now taking over this part of the investigation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Police say the male suspect was located a short distance away. There was a confrontation with police that resulted in officers firing their guns.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The suspect was seriously injured and transported to hospital, where he later died.
