{"id":705090,"date":"2026-05-31T03:59:16","date_gmt":"2026-05-31T03:59:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/705090\/"},"modified":"2026-05-31T03:59:16","modified_gmt":"2026-05-31T03:59:16","slug":"rcmp-four-killed-including-two-children-in-central-alberta-crash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/705090\/","title":{"rendered":"RCMP: Four killed, including two children, in central Alberta crash"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two children and two adults have been killed in a multi-vehicle crash in central Alberta\u2019s Clearwater County on Friday, Mounties say.<\/p>\n<p>Rocky Mountain RCMP say they responded to a serious collision on O\u2019Chiese Road west of Red Deer at around 4:33 p.m. on May 29.<\/p>\n<p>One of the vehicles, a Grand Caravan, had three people inside, while the other vehicle, a Jeep Cherokee, had three adults and two children. <\/p>\n<p>The driver and passenger in the Grand Caravan, men aged 74 and 51, respectively, died on the scene. The children in the other vehicle, two girls aged five and six from O\u2019Chiese First Nation, were also declared dead on the scene.<\/p>\n<p>Mounties say everyone else was taken to hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, an RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the scene, closing roads for several hours.
