{"id":705912,"date":"2026-05-31T14:02:10","date_gmt":"2026-05-31T14:02:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/705912\/"},"modified":"2026-05-31T14:02:10","modified_gmt":"2026-05-31T14:02:10","slug":"guenther-steiner-issued-savage-response-after-max-verstappen-f1-comments","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/705912\/","title":{"rendered":"Guenther Steiner issued savage response after Max Verstappen F1 comments"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Guenther Steiner\u2019s comments about the outspoken views from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorsportweek.com\/tag\/verstappen\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Max Verstappen<\/a> on the new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorsportweek.com\/series\/single-seater\/formula-1\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Formula 1<\/a> regulations were met with some verbal brutality from the Dutchman\u2019s father, Jos.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Verstappen Jr has been vocal in his dislike of the new ruleset from before the new season even began, initially likening it to \u201cFormula E on steroids\u201d during pre-season testing in Bahrain.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Further damning assessments have led to an unhappy Verstappen intimating he may quit F1, having sought fun from endurance racing, such as his participation in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.24h-rennen.de\/en\/home\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Nurburgring 24 Hours<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A common rebuttal of Verstappen has been that he would be complaining less if Red Bull\u2019s RB22 was perhaps faster and able to challenge for wins, something that Guenther suggested, who was quoting as saying: \u201cIf Verstappen had won, he would be really happy and these would be the best regulations ever.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This triggered a response from Verstappen Sr, who, on his X account, responded: \u201cHi Guenther. I understand why you not a F1 team boss anymore.
