{"id":70720,"date":"2025-08-15T04:13:06","date_gmt":"2025-08-15T04:13:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/70720\/"},"modified":"2025-08-15T04:13:06","modified_gmt":"2025-08-15T04:13:06","slug":"report-nascar-schedule-could-feature-new-all-star-race-location","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/70720\/","title":{"rendered":"Report: NASCAR schedule could feature new All-Star Race location"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dover Motor Speedway is reportedly an option to land the 2026 NASCAR All Star Race.<\/p>\n<p>This is <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/6554454\/2025\/08\/14\/nascar-considering-moving-all-star-race-to-dover-sources\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">according to a report written by Jordan Bianchi of The Athletic,<\/a>\u00a0who stated an &#8216;increasing possibility&#8217; that the All-Star Race could be moved from North Wilkesboro Speedway, which has hosted the event since 2023 as part of the next schedule shake-up in the Cup Series.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The report also states such a move would free up North Wilkesboro for a points paying event. Should it come to fruition, it would be the first points race at Wilkesboro since 1996 when Jeff Gordon won the Holly Farms 400.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This report also states that the Cup Series schedule, with Dover as the All-Star Race, could be released next week.<\/p>\n<p>Speedway Motorsports has owned Dover for three years now allowing for this kind of flexibility. It could also give NASCAR and Speedway Motorsports CEO Marcus Smith a chance to experiment with formats or rules packages to enhance a product that has been increasingly lackluster during the current NextGen era.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Dover Motor Speedway is reportedly an option to land the 2026 NASCAR All Star Race.
