The 2026 FIFA World Cup is almost here, with the first matches set to take place on June 11, as Mexico and South Africa will square off at 3:00 p.m. ET and South Korea and Czechia will meet at 10:00 p.m. ET.<\/p>\n
With several matches taking place at NFL stadiums across the country, some teams are replacing their turf with natural grass for the tournament before switching back to turf when the NFL games are played later on.<\/p>\n

Many NFL players have voiced their concerns over playing on turf in recent years, but not much has changed for them, and to see owners make these moves for the World Cup is interesting.<\/p>\n
San Francisco 49ers<\/a> defensive end Nick Bosa<\/a> is one of the players who was asked about the changes, and he seemed to take a bit of a shot at the league and the owners.<\/p>\n “Yeah, it’s a little bizarre, but what can you expect?” Bosa asked during a recent media availability.<\/p>\n Levi’s Stadium will host six matches throughout the 2026 FIFA World Cup under the name San Francisco<\/a> Bay Area Stadium.
