Welcome to the era of VanSZA. Vans has named SZA<\/a> as its first artistic director, signing the R&B superstar to\u00a0a multi-year partnership.<\/p>\n

According to a press release, the position will empower her to \u201creimagine upcoming campaigns and co-create exclusive product collections that fuse her unique vision with the brand\u2019s creative and youthful spirit.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a statement<\/a> of her own, SZA said, \u201cI\u2019ve been wearing Knu Skools and other styles for years; they\u2019ve always had an ethos I connect with.\u201d The singer added that her goal was to \u201cshow that joy, community, creativity, and fashion are all still intersectional. That humanity, culture, and connection are still the access points.\u201d<\/p>\n

By taking this role, SZA follows in the footsteps of Rihanna, who served as the creative director of Puma in 2014, and Beyonc\u00e9, who had a partnership with adidas<\/a> from 2019 to 2023.<\/p>\n
