Canada and Uzbekistan will meet on Monday as both teams prepare for the 2026 World Cup with an international friendly.

Canada’s final stretch of preparation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup begins Monday afternoon with an international friendly against Uzbekistan in Edmonton. This game will offer both sides a valuable measuring stick just days before the tournament kicks off. For Canada, this is the first of two send-off matches as head coach Jesse Marsch fine tunes a team that has shown steady progress over the past year. The Canadians come into Monday night’s game unbeaten in four of their last five matches, including draws against Iceland (2-2) and Tunisia (0-0) during the March international window. The team’s consistency has been a hallmark under Marsch, who has guided the team to a strong record since taking over in 2024.
