Blake Lively is dragging Justin Baldoni back to court weeks after they settled their explosive legal battle<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Judge Lewis Liman\u00a0ordered the \u201cIt Ends With Us\u201d co-stars back to a Manhattan court on Monday to address damages related to Baldoni\u2019s dismissed $400 million defamation lawsuit against Lively, according to court documents obtained by Page Six.<\/p>\n

The legal filing show Lively, 38, is requesting that Baldoni, 42, cover her legal fees and costs from the defamation case. <\/p>\n

The \u201cGossip Girl\u201d actress is also seeking\u00a0triple damages and punitive damages.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s unclear how much total money Lively wants from Baldoni. <\/p>\n

Page Six has reached out to Lively and Baldoni\u2019s reps for comment.<\/p>\n

Lively and Baldoni were set to go to court on May 18 before they\u00a0reached a settlement agreement<\/a>\u00a0on May 4 after a judge\u00a0tossed out 10 out of 13<\/a> of the actress\u2019s allegations from her 2023 lawsuit, including conspiracy, sexual harassment and defamation.<\/p>\n

Baldoni previously sued Lively for $400 million and accused her of defamation, extortion and more. REUTERS<\/p>\n

The \u201cSimple Favor\u201d actress\u00a0filed a sexual harassment lawsuit<\/a>\u00a0against Baldoni, who also directed \u201cIt Ends With Us,\u201d in December 2024.<\/p>\n

Baldoni denied Lively\u2019s claims and,\u00a0the next month,\u00a0filed his $400 million countersuit<\/a>\u00a0against the actress, her husband Ryan Reynolds and their publicist, Leslie Sloane, alleging defamation, extortion and more.<\/p>\n

However, Baldoni\u2019s suit was\u00a0dismissed in June 2025<\/a>.<\/p>\n

At the time, Judge Liman wrote that Baldoni and his Wayfarer Studios production company \u201chave not alleged that Lively is responsible for any statements other than the statements in her [California Civil Rights Department] complaint, which are privileged.\u201d<\/p>\n

Last month, Lively and Baldoni both claimed victory when the former\u2019s lawsuit against the latter was settled.<\/p>\n

Baldoni\u2019s attorney, Bryan Freedman,\u00a0called the settlement a \u201chuge victory\u201d<\/a>\u00a0while speaking with \u201cTMZ Live.\u201d He also claimed Lively\u00a0settled because she was \u201cscared\u201d to testify<\/a>\u00a0at trial.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was an incredible opportunity,\u201d he told the outlet, \u201cand I don\u2019t think you pass up an incredible opportunity.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lively\u2019s team then\u00a0called the settlement a \u201cresounding victory\u201d<\/a>\u00a0for the mother of four following Freedman\u2019s remarks.<\/p>\n

\u201cBy admitting that Ms. Lively\u2019s concerns \u2018deserved to be heard,\u2019 the defendants have ended once and for all the fiction that Ms. Lively \u2018fabricated\u2019 claims of sexual harassment and retaliation,\u201d they told Page Six last Thursday.<\/p>\n

Page Six learned that even though Lively and Baldoni\u00a0spent a combined $60 million<\/a>\u00a0during their 18-month legal war,\u00a0neither saw a penny<\/a>\u00a0in the agreed-upon settlement.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Blake Lively is dragging Justin Baldoni back to court weeks after they settled their explosive legal battle.
