Two people including one from Brampton have been charged following a fight that turned into a robbery in Toronto.<\/p>\n
The incident happened around 4:30 a.m. on April 25 at a hotel in the area of Bay Street and Adelaide Street West, the Toronto Police Service says.<\/p>\n
Investigators say a victim was in line to check into the hotel when there was \u201ca verbal altercation\u201d with guests ahead of the line. That\u2019s when police say the victim was assaulted, and that the victim\u2019s property was stolen before the suspects fled on foot.<\/p>\n
Three suspects were previously arrested, and police said on Wednesday that two additional people have been charged.<\/p>\n
Police say Nadeem Ali, 32, of Oakville, and Mahad Awan, 24, of Brampton, have both been arrested and charged with robbery and assault cause bodily harm.<\/p>\n
The accused were scheduled to make court appearances in Toronto late last month.<\/p>\n
