A meddling neighbor got KO\u2019d in the first round after challenging a famous boxing gym to a fight. <\/p>\n
One newcomer to New York learned we\u2019re not kidding about the whole \u201ccity that never sleeps\u201d thing when she took a temporary West Village rental above the Gotham Gym, beloved of Hailey Bieber, Kendall Jenner, Hugh Jackman, Bella Hadid and more. And she saw stars when she learned that the spot starts playing music (cue the \u201cEye of the Tiger\u201d!) at 6.30am.<\/p>\n
Amazingly, even though the light-sleeping visitor is just passing through the city and bunking at a short-term rental above the gym, she called the cops, Page Six and the mayor\u2019s office to complain!<\/p>\n

\u201cSeveral residents on the second floor above the gym are being awakened [by loud music] at 6:30 a.m\u2026. The music keeps getting louder,\u201d she said on Page Six\u2019s tip line last week.<\/p>\n
\u201cPeople are paying a lot of money and didn\u2019t realize [they\u2019d be living] above a combat gym,\u201d they added. <\/p>\n
Studios start at $5,113 per month and a 663 sq. ft. one bedroom goes for up to $8,759.<\/p>\n
A spokesperson for building management told us, \u201cthe resident is leasing an apartment at 600 Washington through a supplier of short-term furnished rentals.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another source familiar with the situation said, \u201c[The gym has] been doing their business there the same way for 15 years, and she just moved in. She emails them daily. She\u2019s called the police, who came in and said [the music] is fine. And now I guess she\u2019s calling Page Six,\u201d the source, who asked for anonymity, told us.<\/p>\n
Another insiders told us she\u2019s since placed calls to Mayor Mamdani\u2019s office.<\/p>\n
Our source told us the gym has been bending over backwards to accommodate the new tenant, including forking out thousands of dollars to adjust their audio. \u201cThey\u2019ve done more than they have to\u2026 but they\u2019ve had a good relationship [at the address] for 15 years,\u201d they said.<\/p>\n
