But how did they get to that point?<\/p>\n Here\u2019s their love story<\/p>\n In late 2014, the couple matched on Tinder.<\/p>\n \u201cLove at first swipe,\u201d Sola told Now Toronto.<\/p>\n He joked that Fortier had no interest in dating and that her roommate had created her profile. But after a phone call, the pair hit it off.<\/p>\n \u201cWe ended up talking til 4am, and he convinced me to meet up the next day for a date, and the rest is history!\u201d Fortier said.<\/p>\n Over a decade later, Fortier now has a ring on her finger.<\/p>\n Why propose during a Bruno Mars concert?<\/p>\n \u201cHow many people do you meet that can say they got engaged at a Bruno Mars concert?\u201d Sola joked.<\/p>\n He explained that Bruno Mars\u2019 music has been with the couple since the artist\u2019s Doo-Wops & Hooligans<\/a> era.<\/p>\n Two years into dating, the couple had previously attended Mars\u2019 2017 concert in Montreal. To this day, Sola explained it\u2019s still one of the best and most memorable concerts he\u2019s attended.<\/p>\n \u201cHis music has been such a constant in our lives, and it being The Romantic Tour, it just lined up perfectly,\u201d Sola said.<\/p>\n What was the proposal like?<\/p>\n For Sola, proposing brought to mind a thousand thoughts about what could go wrong.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was a long time coming,\u201d he laughed. \u201cI was so nervous\u2026 \u2018What if I drop the ring? What if he doesn\u2019t play \u201cMarry You\u201d? (I had to spoil the setlist for myself.) What if the concert gets cancelled like the first day of the Toronto tour? What if I didn\u2019t have enough space?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n But thankfully, everything went well. Even better, bystanders recorded their special moment.<\/p>\n \u201cI didn\u2019t hire a videographer\/photographer for the moment, but thankfully, so many people recorded the moment and found Kaitlyn on TikTok so they could send their perspective, capturing the exact moment I proposed,\u201d Sola explained. \u201cHonestly, we\u2019re so grateful for that happening because it\u2019s a moment that we can replay and treasure for the rest of our lives.\u201d<\/p>\n Did this couple receive free tickets like the ones for the last Bruno Mars concert proposal?<\/p>\n Despite gaining over 100k views on TikTok, the couple allegedly went unnoticed by Bruno Mars\u2019 team and did not receive an offer of free tickets to another show.<\/p>\n Though the couple holds no jealousy as they\u2019re a far commute away.<\/p>\n \u201cHaha, we\u2019re from Ottawa,\u201d Sola said.<\/p>\n He explained they could\u2019ve stayed for a second show, but didn\u2019t receive any tickets.<\/p>\n Their wish instead is for Mars to perform at their wedding.<\/p>\n Fortier would love \u201cChunky<\/a>,\u201d as it\u2019s a fun song that brings back nostalgia of the 24k tour the couple attended in 2017.<\/p>\n But Sola prefers \u201cRisk It All<\/a>\u201d because he feels the vibe is just wedding-worthy.<\/p>\n
