Farm actor have split, one year after confirming they were engaged.<\/p>\n<p>The news comes weeks after the debut of Mika\u2018s Prime Video series, which catapulted her to fame. Amid the confirmation that she\u2019s going to be the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justjared.com\/2026\/05\/28\/off-campus-season-2-couple-confirmed-allie-dean-to-lead-new-episodes-of-prime-videos-hit-tv-show\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">lead female star for season two<\/a>, her reps have provided an update on her relationship status. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.justjared.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/mika-jake.jpg\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"788\" height=\"526\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/mika-jake-788x526.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2222673\"  \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Mika Abdalla and Jake Short had an amicable breakup this year<\/p>\n<p>A rep for Mika told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/celebrity-news\/news\/off-campus-mika-abdalla-and-jake-short-split-end-engagement\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Us Weekly<\/a>, \u201cDue to recent interest in Mika\u2019s personal life it would feel remiss to not address that her and Jake are no longer together. They continue to support each other and remain on friendly terms, and kindly ask for privacy and respect.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mika and Jake met while working together on the Hulu original <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justjared.com\/2022\/01\/05\/hulu-releases-sex-appeal-trailer\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">movie Sex Appeal<\/a>, which they filmed in 2021 and released to the world in early 2022. <\/p>\n<p>Their engagement was confirmed in May 2025 by Jake\u2018s manager, who shared photos from their engagement party. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cAn awesome day yesterday celebrating the next chapter for my longtime client, Jake Short and his fiance Mika Abdalla. Here\u2019s to forever,\u201d Brian Medavoy <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DJMwRVWSVHU\/?img_index=4\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">wrote <\/a>at the time. <\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s unclear when the breakup happened, but Jake shared a 2025 recap post on February 21, 2026 and it included photos with Mika. <\/p>\n<p>Mika also left several comments on the post. \u201cevery photo tells a story,\u201d she said in one.
