{"id":710914,"date":"2026-06-02T22:22:11","date_gmt":"2026-06-02T22:22:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/710914\/"},"modified":"2026-06-02T22:22:11","modified_gmt":"2026-06-02T22:22:11","slug":"report-steelers-sign-edge-nick-herbig-to-four-year-100m-extension","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/710914\/","title":{"rendered":"Report: Steelers sign EDGE Nick Herbig to four-year, $100M extension"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Following a career year in 2025, edge rusher Nick Herbig is sticking around in the Steel City for the long haul. <\/p>\n<p>Herbig has agreed to terms on a four-year, $100 million extension to remain with the Pittsburgh Steelers, ESPN&#8217;s Adam Schefter <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/AdamSchefter\/status\/2061907961396470267\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">reported<\/a> Tuesday. <\/p>\n<p>The deal includes $42 million guaranteed and will keep him in town through the 2030 season. <\/p>\n<p>Herbig, 24, stood out in his third year in the NFL, tallying a career-high 7.5 sacks, along with 13 tackles for loss and 18 QB hits. He also picked up his first career interception and had three forced fumbles. <\/p>\n<p>Alongside fellow pass rushers Alex Highsmith and T.J.
