Although the Apple iPhone 17 Air<\/a> is still a few weeks away from launch, the multitude of leaks that we have witnessed in the past few months give us a fair idea of what the device may look and feel like. Tecno, a budget smartphone brand, appears to have taken notes from Apple’s rumored design, which is pretty evident from a single glance at its recently launched Spark Go 5G budget smartphone. <\/p>\n

However, at 7.99 mm thick, the Tecno Spark Go 5G<\/a> smartphone is nowhere near as thin as the iPhone 17 Air is expected to be. That said, the ‘thick’ enclosure does allow the Spark Go 5G to boast a massive 6,000 mAh battery, which is twice as big as the rumored 3,000 mAh battery capacity of the iPhone 17 Air. A Dimensity 6400<\/a> SoC paired with 4GB of memory powers the device, which happens to be a fairly decent entry-level chip adequate for daily tasks.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

The rear camera bump, which unsurpisingly spans the width of the smartphone, appears to boast dual cameras – at first sight. In reality, one of the cameras is fake, which makes little sense considering the smartphone it mimics, the iPhone 17 Air, is also almost certain to have a single rear camera. The functional camera is a 50 MP unit, with support for 1440p video recording. The 6.74-inch display is thankfully 120 Hz, and boasts a resolution of 1600 x 720. Other features include Android 15, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and 128 GB of storage. <\/p>\n

Priced at 9,999 INR<\/a>, or roughly \u20ac100, the Tecno Spark Go 5G packs a decent number of features considering the extremely affordable pricing. The smartphone is expected to start shipping on the 21st of August, although an international release outside of India is not in sight for now.<\/p>\n
