Police are investigating after a driver struck and killed a 23-year-old man following a dispute in a southeast Edmonton parking lot last week.<\/p>\n
The collision happened May 28 after a \u201cconfrontation\u201d between a pedestrian and a driver at Mill Woods Road and 28 Avenue, police said in a Tuesday afternoon news release.<\/p>\n
Police said the victim approached a vehicle in a parking lot and was \u201cinadvertently\u201d struck when the motorist tried to drive away.<\/p>\n

The victim was still alive when police arrived but was later pronounced dead at the scene. He has not been identified.<\/p>\n
Edmonton police said its major collision investigations section continues to probe the case, and that speed and alcohol are not believed to be factors.<\/p>\n
