The North Shore Health Network says it has located a physician to cover the shift, so the emergency department will not be closed as earlier reported.<\/p>\n

The emergency department at the Richards Landing site on St. Joseph Island will be closed for 24 hours this week\u00a0due to physician shortages.<\/p>\n
The North Shore Health Network says the emergency room will shut down at 8 a.m. on Thursday, June 4. It\u2019s not scheduled to reopen until 8 a.m. on Friday, June 5.<\/p>\n
Anyone requiring immediate medical attention should still call 9-1-1. Ambulances will be re-routed.<\/p>\n
