Originally, her content focused on the comedic aspects of Orthodox female life, but in recent years, her activism has shifted to advocating for agunot, women who cannot get halachically divorced from their husbands for various reasons. For all intents and purposes, they are trapped in their marriages under Jewish law.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sash\u2019s most recent focus is a couple originally from Montreal, Raphi Stein and Adeena Kohn.\u00a0For five years, Stein has refused to grant Kohn a gett, a Jewish divorce.\u00a0Sash has taken up the cause and waged a social media campaign urgently calling on Montreal\u2019s Orthodox Jewish community to increase pressure on Stein.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of that campaign, Sash launched an online initiative called \u201cGett Naked\u201d, where Orthodox women have sent unusually revealing photos of themselves with the hashtag <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/flatbushgirl\/reel\/DYiwWXhsUTU\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">#freeadeena<\/a>. In the pictures, they show parts of their bodies that are usually covered: hair, elbows, shoulders, knees. Others go further, snapping shots of cleavage and bikinis.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In some ways, it\u2019s a successor to Sash\u2019s successful 2024 campaign, in which she organized a <a href=\"https:\/\/thecjn.ca\/podcasts\/cant-get-no-satisfaction-why-orthodox-women-are-staging-a-sex-strike-to-protest-religious-divorce-refusal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">sex strike in support of Malky Berkowitz<\/a>, a 29-year-old agunah. Hasidic women in Brooklyn withheld sex from their husbands on Friday nights, and after they went to the mikvah, to recruit men and women alike to the cause. After six months of the campaign, Berkowitz received a gett.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Will Sash\u2019s efforts work for Adeena Kohn?
