Saturday night, eight days before the UFC <\/a>makes the trek to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. in Washington, DC for \u00a0UFC Freedom 250,<\/a> Dana White and company have a UFC Fight Night in the promotion’s Las Vegas homebase.<\/p>\n Meta Apex serves as the setting for UFC Vegas 118. Live coverage <\/a>of the show will commence in the late afternoon at 5 pm ET\/ 2 pm PT. Inside the United States of America, the event\u00a0<\/a> can be seen from start to finish via Paramount Plus.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n Main card action caps the evening at 8 pm ET\/ 5 pm PT on the streaming service. At first, Schnell was to have fought Imanol Rodriguez in a flyweight contest before Rodriguez had to withdraw from the show due to an injury, with no specific information given.\u00a0<\/p>\n How much has Matt Schnell’s gameplan had to be altered with this late change in opponent? Only time will tell.<\/p>\n Alessandro Costa Enters UFC Vegas 118 Featured Prelim on Short Notice<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Alessandro Costa will be facing a quick turnaround for UFC Vegas 118 on Saturday night. He’s posted a record of 3-2 in his last five appearances.<\/p>\n Over the Easter holiday weekend in April, he scored a vicious second-round knockout with a left hook over Stewart Nicoll (8-3 MMA, 0-3 UFC) with four seconds remaining on the clock. As recently as this time a week ago, Costa wasn’t booked to fight on Saturday’s card.<\/p>\n He’ll be coming in on nine days’ notice for this event. How well will he fare in his return to action?<\/p>\n John Yannis Making Quick Turnaround for UFC Vegas 118<\/p>\n Across the way, John Yannis comes into UFC Vegas 118 on the strength of a 4-1 record of his own in his last five fights. On April 18, he secured his first promotional victory with a first-round TKO (elbows from top mount) against Jaime Siraj (14-4 MMA, 0-1 UFC) at the Apex.<\/p>\n It’s been a little over a month and a half between fights for Yannis, but he made quick of Siraj in his last fight earlier this spring. This is a critical 15 minutes (or less) of action inside the Octagon for him.\u00a0<\/p>\n If Silva is to keep a number next to his name beyond this weekend, he’s got to score a victory.<\/p>\n Edgar Chairez Looking to Crash Party at 125<\/p>\n In the other corner, Edgar Chairez has a 3-1 record with one no-contest in his last five showcases. He’s won two in a row ahead of UFC Vegas 118 this weekend.<\/p>\n Back on Feb. 28 in Mexico City, he scored a split decision win against Felipe Bunes (14-9 MMA, 1-3 UFC) after 15 minutes.
