Lots of us fancy ourselves as decent food photographers, but our camera rolls have got nothing on the almost 9,000 vibrant submissions to this year\u2019s World Food Photography Awards sponsored by Tenderstem\u00ae Bimi\u00ae Broccolini<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The winning image, A Woman Eats in the Canteen of the Soviet-era Sanatorium, was snapped by British photographer Jo Kearney. About the image, competition founder Caroline Kenyon said: \u2018Against the parched colours of the scene through the window, the rich crimson chairs give a regal quality to the setting, and though humbly dressed, her dignified bearing is queenly too.\u2019<\/p>\n
