The Orchestre M\u00e9tropolitain<\/a> presents Grammy-winning OM Maestro Yannick N\u00e9zet-S\u00e9guin closing the OM season with Songs of Hope<\/a> at the Maison Symphonique<\/a> at Place des Arts<\/a> on June 14.<\/p>\n

The Lyric Theatre Singers will present their annual show June 11-13<\/p>\n

THEATRE<\/p>\n

Montr\u00e9al theatre legend Vittorio Rossi directs the Pulitzer\u2013winning Broadway drama \u2018night, Mother<\/a> by Marsha Norman,\u00a0about the complex bond between parent and child, starring Alarey Alsip and Pauline Little, at the Leonardo Da Vinci Centre<\/a>. Runs June 10 to 13.<\/p>\n

St. Ambroise Montreal Fringe Festival runs June 1-21, including performances by drag performers Uma Gahd and Slema Gahd<\/p>\n

Despite the recent passing of their artistic director Bob Bachelor, The Lyric Theatre Singers\u00a0will present Broadway with Love<\/a> \u2013 40 performers accompanied by a full band performing standards from the musical theatre canon \u2013 at the gorgeous state-of-the-art downtown Concordia Theatre from June 11 to 13. As they say, the show must go on!<\/p>\n

After a record-breaking 2025 edition, the bilingual St-Ambroise Montr\u00e9al Fringe Festival<\/a> returns June 1 to 21 when 500 artists from some 90 producing companies present more than 800 indoor performances at this year\u2019s 36th edition. Outdoor free programming at the hugely popular Fringe Park \u2013 located at Parc des Ameriques, corner Rachel and St-Laurent \u2013 features live bands, plus the festival\u2019s marquee event Drag Race (June 13) hosted by Uma Gahd and Selma Gahd, featuring professional drag stars versus Fringe fest beauties in a knock-down Battle Royale of skill-testing obstacles!<\/p>\n

Virtual reality experience ROME continues at Palais de congr\u00e8s until June 28<\/p>\n

EXHIBITIONS<\/p>\n

The Hinge Points: Gabor Szilasi\u2019s Photographic Angle<\/a> exhibition in McGill University<\/a>\u2019s McLennan Library Building displays photographic prints by the famed photographer of Montr\u00e9al during the\u00a0late 1970s and early\u00a01980s. Runs to June 20.<\/p>\n

Montr\u00e9al\u2019s Studio Shaman presents the virtual reality experience\u00a0ROME, In Caesar\u2019s Footsteps<\/a> at the Palais des congr\u00e8s de Montr\u00e9al<\/a>, transporting audiences back 2,000 years to the assassination of Julius Caesar. A free-roam VR adventure, visitors explore a meticulously reconstructed Rome: Caesar\u2019s private gardens, the Forum Romanum, the Curia of Pompey where the Senate vote takes place, military camps in Gaul, and the Circus Maximus. With hand-tracking motion capture, participants interact naturally with scenes\u2014voting by raising their hands, handling objects, and influencing key moments. Two different endings are possible depending on the choices made along the journey. Runs to June 28.<\/p>\n

CINEMA<\/p>\n

Created with the blessing of the iconic rock band, Pink Floyd \u2013 The Dark Side of the Moon<\/a>\u00a0screens under the starry dome of the Plan\u00e9tarium<\/a> on Fridays and Saturdays until June 21. This show merges the original musical score with spectacular visuals of the solar system and immersive effects in a surround-sound environment.<\/p>\n

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the landmark film Hedwig & the Angry Inch\u00a0adapted from his off-Broadway hit, writer, director and star\u00a0John Cameron Mitchell<\/a> will screen a\u00a04K restoration\u00a0of the 2001 cult movie musical at Th\u00e9\u00e2tre Beanfield on June 30, followed by a live post-screening conversation, audience Q&A and a special acoustic performance, as well as post-show meet-and-greets.<\/p>\n
