A 32-year-old Winnipeg man is dead following a crash west of Kenora.<\/p>\n
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) says in a release that the crash happened on Highway 17 on Tuesday afternoon. Emergency crews were called around 1:45 p.m. to the scene west of Kenora.<\/p>\n
The collision involved a semi truck travelling westbound, and an eastbound passenger vehicle.<\/p>\n
Police say the 32-year-old Winnipeg man was travelling in the passenger vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n
The driver of the semi was not injured.<\/p>\n
The highway was closed for several hours from the Manitoba\/Ontario border to 15 km east to Rush Bay Road.<\/p>\n
Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage from the area at the time of the crash is asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
