(CBC &#8211; image credit)<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">A person is dead after a shooting in Brampton on Thursday evening, police say.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The shooting happened in the area of Sandalwood Parkway and Crown Victoria Drive, near Creditview Road, according to Peel Regional Police. Officers were called to the scene at about 7:10 p.m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Police said the person who was shot has been pronounced dead. The victim&#8217;s age and sex has not been released.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">There&#8217;s no word on what led to the shooting.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">A heavy police presence remains in the area.
