{"id":715871,"date":"2026-06-05T03:10:10","date_gmt":"2026-06-05T03:10:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/715871\/"},"modified":"2026-06-05T03:10:10","modified_gmt":"2026-06-05T03:10:10","slug":"f1-announces-10-year-extension-of-las-vegas-gp-to-2037","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/715871\/","title":{"rendered":"F1 announces 10-year extension of Las Vegas GP to 2037"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LAS VEGAS (AP) \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/hub\/formula-one\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Formula 1<\/a> has announced a 10-year extension to the Las Vegas Grand Prix that will see the race remain in the Nevada city until 2037.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSince its debut in 2023, the event has been extraordinary, rapidly establishing itself as a premier destination for great racing, world-class entertainment, global business leaders, A-list celebrities and influencers,\u201d F1 president and chief executive Stefano Domenicali said in a statement announcing the contract extension Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>F1 is holding the <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/leclerc-ferrari-monaco-grand-prix-8f91dcda17f02e897213917470d3e876\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Monaco Grand Prix<\/a> this weekend, two weeks after <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/f1-canadian-grand-prix-9e30122018c133fb361880b424c2387b\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kimi Antonelli won<\/a> the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal, his fourth victory in a row.<\/p>\n<p>The Las Vegas race takes place on the 6.2-kilometer (3.85-mile) Las Vegas Strip Circuit. Max Verstappen has won the race twice \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/f1-las-vegas-c948161292a80c00190deaf35973ab56\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">in 2023<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/f1-las-vegas-verstappen-norris-piastri-hamilton-5249686bd02cae1ff8b3f106390ec53b\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">2025<\/a>.
