Taylor Swift<\/a> has released \u201cI Knew It, I Knew You,\u201d a new song from Toy Story 5 she co-wrote and co-produced with frequent collaborator Jack Antonoff. The drop comes one month after a 48-hour countdown was leaked onto Swift\u2019s official website\u2014featuring a backdrop that looked almost identical to the cloudy wallpaper from Andy\u2019s room in the films\u2014before being taken down entirely. On June 1, a second countdown appeared on Swift\u2019s homepage, this time showing Jessie moseying around a farm. The clock ended with a link to a pre-order for three collector\u2019s editions of \u201cI Knew It, I Knew You\u201d on CD.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve always dreamed of getting to write for these characters who I\u2019ve adored since I was a 5 year old kid watching the first Toy Story movie,\u201d Swift wrote<\/a> after announcing the single. \u201cI fell instantly in love with Toy Story 5 when I was lucky enough to see it in its early stages, and I wrote this song as soon as I got home from the screening.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI Knew It, I Knew You\u201d is the latest soundtrack offering from Swift, who has lent songs to previous films including 50 Shades Darker, Valentine\u2019s Day, and Hannah Montana: The Movie.<\/p>\n

In January, Swift became the youngest person to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. She joined the class of 2026 with Alanis Morissette<\/a>, Kenny Loggins, and Kiss<\/a> songwriters Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley.<\/p>\n
