Seth Jarvis<\/a> scored the overtime winner as the Carolina Hurricanes<\/a> completed the comeback to take a thrilling 4-3 win over the Vegas Golden Knights<\/a> in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final. <\/p>\n

The series is now tied 1-1 headed back to Vegas for Game 3 on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Jarvis scored the winner on the power play at 3:56 of the extra frame, blasting a one timer past Carter Hart<\/a> with Tomas Hertl<\/a> in the box for tripping. It was the fourth of the postseason for Jarvis, who had not scored since Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Final against the Montreal Canadiens<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The Hurricanes found themselves in a 2-0 hole heading to the third period, but Logan Stankoven<\/a> Mark Jankowski<\/a>, and Jordan Staal<\/a> scored third period goals to bring Carolina back into the series.<\/p>\n

Brett Howden<\/a> scored his 12th and 13th of the the postseason, surpassing his regular season total of 12. Mark Stone<\/a>\u2019s late third period equalizer was his sixth of the playoffs.<\/p>\n

Vegas opened the scoring at 13:33 of the opening frame when Mitch Marner<\/a> flipped a long clearing attempt over the heads of the \u2018Canes defence, sending Howden in alone on Frederik Andersen<\/a> for the game\u2019s first goal. <\/p>\n

Howden extended the Golden Knights\u2019 lead to 2-0 just past the midway point of the period. After a Vegas power play expired, Howden was once again sent in alone and beat Andersen one-on-one for the second time to double the lead at 7:23 of the period. <\/p>\n

The Golden Knights had mustered just six shots on goal through 33 minutes of game time, but got two past Andersen to take a 2-0 lead into the third period. <\/p>\n

Stankoven cut into the Golden Knights\u2019 lead at 10:20 of the third when his wraparound attempt ricocheted off a Vegas defenceman in front and past Carter Hart<\/a> to break the shutout bid. <\/p>\n

Jankowski tied the game just over two minutes later, when he took a beautiful backhand feed from William Carrier<\/a> and wired the puck over the glove of Hart for the equalizer. <\/p>\n

Staal briefly gave the Hurricanes a late 3-2 lead on a power play. After the Golden Knights were penalized for an unsuccessful coaches challenge on a goal that was waved off for goaltender interference, the Carolina captain parked in front of the net and tipped Shayne Gostisbehere<\/a>\u2018s point shot past Hart.<\/p>\n

Stone responded just over three minutes later with the net empty, batting a loose rebound past Andersen to tie the game with under two minutes remaining. <\/p>\n
