\n\tCercamon<\/a> has picked up sales agency duties on tragicomedy \u201cBlack Money for White Nights,\u201d which has its world premiere at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival<\/a> in the Crystal Globe Competition.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Bulgaria-Greece co-production is directed by Kristina Grozeva and Petar Valchanov, and written by Grozeva, Valchanov and Decho Taralezhkov.<\/p>\n

\n\tMarina, 65, a maternity nurse, and her husband Gosha, 68, a railway dispatcher, have spent years collecting small bribes to afford their dream trip to St. Petersburg for the White Nights Festival. When Russia invades Ukraine and the travel agency vanishes with their savings, their dream \u2014 and the illusion of control \u2014 collapses. As Gosha ends up in hospital, beaten while trying to recover the money, long-buried betrayals surface, forcing the couple to confront the lies their life was built on.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cKristina Grozeva and Petar Valchanov have created a bold and unsettling film, anchored in a sharp sense of place, character, and social tension, where the line between right and wrong becomes increasingly fragile. \n\tThe producers are Konstantina Stavrianou, Irini Vougioukalou, Grozeva and Valchanov for Abraxas Film, with co-producers Graal Films, Bulgarian National Television, Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation ERT and Greek Film Center.
