Tina Fey<\/a> apparently isn\u2019t thrilled by what\u2019s under her bossypants<\/a>. <\/p>\n

In an interview with \u201cToday\u201d<\/a> published Thursday, the \u201cMean Girls\u201d creator got pretty candid about aging. <\/p>\n

Fey, 56, told the outlet that she wasn\u2019t really prepared for the realities of entering her 50s until, well, she did. The \u201cSaturday Night Live\u201d alum emphasized some of the surprising changes by describing them with a two-word term: \u201creverse puberty.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel like it\u2019s a reverse puberty in a way. It\u2019s like your body starts to change and be disgusting in new ways,\u201d Fey told the outlet with a laugh. \u201cWhen you\u2019re 12 or 13, you\u2019re like, \u2018Why am I so oily?\u2019 And now you\u2019re like, \u2018Why am I so papery?\u2019\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

Fey said that she finds some solace with her fellow writers in the \u201cFour Seasons\u201d writers\u2019 room.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re all pretty much the same age,\u201d she said of the creative team behind her Netflix series. <\/p>\n

\u201cAlmost all of us have known each other a super long time, and so all the writers are really good about sharing their own things,\u201d she added before revealing that some of their aging-related experiences have been used in the show. <\/p>\n

\u201cThen sometimes our spouses are like, \u2018Is that me?\u2019 And then we\u2019ll usually just be like, \u2018No, no.\u2019 We\u2019ll just lie and say, \u2018That\u2019s so and so,\u2019\u201d Fey said.<\/p>\n

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter last year<\/a>, Fey said she now struggles to stay up past midnight, which proved quite a challenge for her at the \u201cSNL50\u201d afterparty last year.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve never been able to get over the fact that I left the 40th afterparty before Prince\u2019s surprise set,\u201d Fey told THR. \u201cSo the whole week leading up to the 50th, I drank water, I went to bed early, I saved it all up. But when I got to the afterparty, I couldn\u2019t find any of my friends, and obviously, there was no chance of Prince, so I thought, \u2018Actually, I\u2019m out.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Tina Fey apparently isn\u2019t thrilled by what\u2019s under her bossypants.
