This follows a 72-hour strike notice and lock-out notice issued as part of contract negotiations between Air Canada and CUPE, the union representing its flight attendants.<\/p>\n<p>If an agreement is not reached, a full disruption of Air Canada service could begin at 9:58 p.m. PT tonight (Friday, August 15) \/ 12:58 a.m. ET Saturday, August 16.<\/p>\n<p>Air Canada passengers should not come to YVR unless they have a confirmed flight. Changes and cancellations are possible, and Air Canada will contact affected passengers directly by email or text. Please check your flight status and rebooking options at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aircanada.com\/home\/ca\/en\/aco\/flights\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">aircanada.com<\/a> before coming to the airport.<\/p>\n<p>YVR has increased terminal staffing to assist travellers, however the best source for up-to-date flight information is Air Canada directly.
