\n\tOlivia Rodrigo<\/a> previewed \u201cWhat\u2019s Wrong With Me,\u201d a song with The Cure<\/a>\u2018s Robert Smith from the second act of her highly anticipated new album You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love, live at Primavera Sound<\/a> 2026. The unveil of their duet came just hours after Rodrigo made a surprise announcement<\/a> she\u2019d play live at the Barcelona, Spain, music festival Saturday night (June 6).<\/p>\n

\n\tAt track 10, the song falls on the \u201cyou seem pretty sad\u201d side of her upcoming LP\u2019s story. It marks the first time Rodrigo\u2019s featured another artist on an album track.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cII can\u2019t believe this song exists with the person that it exists with. I\u2019m just so f\u2014ing over the moon,\u201d Rodrigo said of song partner Smith when introducing \u201cWhat\u2019s Wrong With Me\u201d to the crowd at Parc del Forum\u2019s Occident Stage. By the end of Rodrigo and The Cure frontman\u2019s duet \u2014 right after hugging her musical hero-turned-friend (and now, officially, collaborator) \u2014 the pop star admitted, \u201cI feel like I\u2019m gonna cry \u2026 I can\u2019t believe that that\u2019s a thing that happened in the real world and not just a figment of my imagination.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe lyrics of \u201cWhat\u2019s Wrong With Me\u201d have her \u201cspiraling.\u201d \u201cI\u2019m not feeling like myself, and nothing ever seems to help,\u201d Rodrigo sings in the pre-chorus, leading up to \u201cWent to the doctor and she said I was fine\/ But every movie that I\u2019ve seen makes me cry\/ It\u2019s like somebody put a weight on my chest\/ I should talk to a friend, but I can\u2019t get out of bed\/ My head is spinning and my stomach is sick\/ Say I\u2019m in love, so it\u2019s hard to admit\/ I can\u2019t eat, I can\u2019t sleep\/ I think you\u2019re what\u2019s wrong with me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tVerse two brings in Smith, who echoes Rodrigo\u2019s relationship rumination: \u201cHead just keeps on pounding with the simple thought\/ \u2018What if this isn\u2019t what I want?’\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThey layer their vocals over the chorus from that point on, and through the song\u2019s bridge and outro.<\/p>\n

\n\tYou Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love is only a week away; the full album will be available Friday, June 12 via Geffen Records.<\/p>\n

\n\tRodrigo popped online with a quick Instagram Story earlier on Saturday to share the news<\/a> of her previously unannounced Primavera set, which was slotted for 10:25 p.m. local time, though she remained mum on the Smith\u2019s part until showtime. \u201cSurprise!!!\u201d she\u2019d captioned a snapshot of herself giving a thumbs up on the festival\u2019s grounds. \u201cSee you tonight primavera_sound \u2026 I\u2019m excited.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe pair previously played live together last year, at Glastonbury<\/a>, where they delivered The Cure\u2019s \u201cFriday I\u2019m In Love\u201d and \u201cJust Like Heaven\u201d together. <\/p>\n

\n\tRodrigo\u2019s admiration of Smith keeps going: on \u201cDrop Dead,\u201d the lead track of You Seem Pretty Sad\u2026 (which launched as a Billboard Hot 100 No. 1), she playfully works the song title of \u201cJust Like Heaven\u201d into the opening verse.<\/p>\n

\n\tRodrigo and Smith\u2019s unexpected live set Saturday night at Primavera Sound came months ahead of the singer-songwriter\u2019s sold-out arena tour kickoff. Rodrigo launches her Unraveled Tour in September in Hartford, Conn., embarking across North America and Europe in support of her third studio album. The tour\u2019s name references a lyric from her latest single, which happens to be called \u201cThe Cure,\u201d and which arrived at No. 1 \u00a0on the\u00a0Hot Rock & Alternative Songs\u00a0chart and No. 5 on the Hot 100 in its first week.<\/p>\n

\n\tBeyond the premiere of \u201cWhat\u2019s Wrong With Me,\u201d Rodrigo\u2019s Primavera Sound set included performances of both of the musician\u2019s most recent singles (\u201cDrop Dead\u201d and \u201cThe Cure\u201d), plus hits from Sour and Guts.<\/p>\n

\n\tSaturday marked day three of Primavera Sound, which saw severe weather conditions opening night that shut down<\/a> many of of Thursday\u2019s performances, including Doja Cat and Massive Attack\u2019s headlining spots. The fest was back to business for day two, with \u00a0The Cure, Skrillex, PinkPantheress and more taking the stage as expected on Friday.<\/p>\n
