Mark Wahlberg is turning heads with a wild makeover for his upcoming mafia flick, \u201cBy Any Means.\u201d<\/p>\n
Wahlberg can be seen in the newly released trailer <\/a>playing infamous mafia hitman Gregory Scarpa \u2014 and although his famous physique remains in place, a set of facial prosthetics drastically alter his appearance.<\/p>\n The actor appears to be wearing a nose prosthetic, as well as a bulky dark wig complete with retro sideburns for the edgy role.<\/p>\n The \u201cPlanet of the Apes\u201d actor also seems to be sporting a wider jawline for his remarkable transformation into the mob hitman, who was also known as the Grim Reaper and the Mad Hatter.<\/p>\n Mark Wahlberg, seen above in the trailer for \u201cBy Any Means,\u201d sports an unrecognizable look for the film. Paramount Pictures<\/p>\n Wahlberg, 55, is seen in the trailer wearing a variety of 1960s styles \u2014 but his white tank top with a gold chain stands out as the one that could possibly identify him, despite the dramatic transformation.<\/p>\n The crime thriller follows a Black FBI agent (played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) as he investigates the murders of prominent civil rights figures alongside Wahlberg\u2019s Scarpa in 1960s Mississippi. <\/p>\n Filmed in Atlanta, Georgia, and inspired by a true story, the plot thickens as they find themselves blurring the lines between justice and vengeance during an intense hunt.<\/p>\n \u201cExcited to share the trailer for my new film BY ANY MEANS, based on a true story,\u201d the actor wrote via Facebook earlier this week, noting that the film will hit theaters in September.<\/p>\n The actor stars alongside Yahya Abdul-Mateen II in the 1960s crime thriller (as seen above).
