It\u2019s that time of week again when the TV schedules are filled with shows and everyone\u2019s asking themselves, where do I start? Luckily for you, we\u2019ve done the “hard” job of working our way through almost all of them to bring you the shows that are truly superb.<\/p>\n

From a detective drama<\/a> that\u2019s even better than Shetland to a new Nicola Walker series (thank you, Alice and Steve<\/a>), we\u2019ve got something to watch no matter what you\u2019re in the mood for. So, take a pause, because these are the 7 best shows to watch this week on ITV, Netflix, the BBC and more.<\/p>\n

Alice and Steve \"alice<\/p>\n

Lara Cornell\/Disney+<\/p>\n

She might not be gracing our screens in the upcoming spin-off of The Split, but Nicola Walter is turning her hand to comedy (sort of). This quirky new Disney+ series introduces us to the titular Alice (Walker) and Steve (Jemaine Clement), who have been best friends since, well, forever – but their friendship is put to an almighty test when middle-aged Steve starts dating Alice\u2019s twenty-something daughter Izzy (Yali Topol Margalith). The perfect recipe for disaster. Arriving on Disney+<\/a> on Monday 8th June. <\/p>\n

G\u2019wed \"a<\/p>\n

ITV<\/p>\n

If you haven\u2019t already given this BAFTA-nominated Scouse comedy a watch, now\u2019s the time to catch up ahead of series three\u2019s arrival. The series enters us into the lives of working-class teenagers from Liverpool, including anti-hero Reece (Dylan Thomas-Smith), posh-boy Christopher (Jake Kenny-Byrne) and the always unfiltered Connor (Max Ainsworth). Think school, sex, scandal and some very relatable family dynamics. Arriving on ITV1 and ITVX on Monday 8th June.<\/p>\n

Best Medicine\"best<\/p>\n

Hats off to the team at Sky who have picked up this brilliant US remake of Doc Martin. While Martin Clunes is replaced in the lead role by Josh Charles, as a Boston surgeon who abruptly swaps his high-flying hospital career for life as the local GP in Port Wenn, original fans will be pleased to hear he does make an appearance as his dad. Martin is headstrong gastroenterologist, Robert, who, perhaps unsurprisingly, has a somewhat abrasive personality. Arriving on Sky One on Tuesday 9th June. <\/p>\n

Interior Design Masters with Alan Carr: The Final\"group<\/p>\n

Our two Interior Design Masters finalists are heading to the historic Longleat Estate to transform its rental cottages. Their task? To take inspiration from the safari park and surrounding countryside and give them a serious glow-up. Presenter Alan Carr will also come face-to-face with some lorikeets and judge Michelle Ogundehin is heading on safari. Always entertaining. Airing on BBC One and BBC iPlayer at 8pm on Tuesday 9th June. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s a big week for finales as the second series of Amandaland also comes to a close. Titled \u2018Prom\u2019, the final episode sees Amanda (Lucy Punch) host a prom pre-party at her flat for her daughter Georgie and her friends. With Amanda\u2019s mum Felicity (Joanna Lumley) doing her usual meddling, a problematic limo and a disastrous make-up artist, we can expect chaos aplenty. Airing on BBC One at 9pm on Wednesday 10th June. <\/p>\n

Colors of Evil: Black\"mpsii\"<\/p>\n

One for crime thriller fans, this Polish film has just been acquired by Netflix and it’s well worth watching. When the body of a young woman, Monika Bogucka (Zofia Jastrz\u0119bska), washes ashore on a beach, ambitious prosecutor Leopold Bilski (Jakub Giersza\u0142), aka Bilski, is put on the case – and it\u2019s far from straightforward. Bilski teams up with Monika\u2019s grieving mother, Helena (Maja Ostaszewska), to prove her murder is connected to a 20-year-old cold case and their investigation leads them to a murky underworld operating out of one of the beaches\u2019 seaside nightclubs. Arriving on Netflix on Wednesday 10th June. <\/p>\n

The Sommerdahl Murders\"peter<\/p>\n

The fourth series of this twisty detective drama is coming to More 4 just in time for the weekend. If you\u2019re new to the series, our lead character is DCI Dan Sommerdahl (Peter Mygind) who spends his life diving into chilling crime cases in the coastal town of Elsinore – the real-life Helsing\u00f8r in the east of Denmark – while grappling with his tumultuous personal life. Now a grandfather, series four takes an even deeper dive into his personal life, which is challenging, to say the least. Think Shetland but in Denmark – and, arguably, even better.
