Switch to convenience with the pre-authorized tax payment plan. <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<p>The City of Mississauga has sent out the 2026 final property tax bills and emails have been sent to those who have signed up for eBill. The Mayor\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mississauga.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/04091120\/myr_MayorTaxNewsletter_residential_26117_f3_web1.pdf\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">residential<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mississauga.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/04091121\/myc_myr_MayorTaxNewsletter_commercial_26116_f4_web1.pdf\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">commercial <\/a>tax newsletters are also included. This is the second of two tax bills sent to property owners annually. Mark your payment due dates and pay your bill on time to avoid late fees and interest.<\/p>\n<p>For residential properties, payments are due July 2, August 6 and September 3. For non-residential properties, payments are due August 6.<\/p>\n<p>You can <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mississauga.ca\/services-and-programs\/property-taxes\/pay-property-tax\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">pay your bill<\/a> in the following ways:<\/p>\n<p>Through your bank\u2019s online or telephone banking, or in person at a branch.<br \/>\nAutomatic withdrawals if you are signed up for a pre-authorized tax payment plan.<br \/>\nPost-dated cheques dropped off at City Hall drop boxes.<br \/>\nYou can mail post-dated cheques to Mississauga Taxes, PO Box 3040, Station A, Mississauga ON L5A 3S4.<br \/>\nCredit card payment through a third-party provider (fees may apply).<\/p>\n<p>Why property tax payments matter<\/p>\n<p>About one-third of every property tax dollar pays for 200 City services you rely on. This includes recreation programs, buses, libraries, spray pads, parks and roads maintenance, emergency response and more. The remaining two-thirds funds schools and regional services like housing, paramedics, police and public health. Learn more about the <a href=\"https:\/\/mississauga.ca\/budget\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">City\u2019s Budget<\/a>, including how much property taxes are collected and how it is spent.<\/p>\n<p>Key dates and rebates<\/p>\n<p>Property tax payment due dates are hard deadlines set by City Council. Even during events like a postal strike, you must still pay on time to avoid late fees. If you did not receive your bill, you can view it online on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mississauga.ca\/services-and-programs\/property-taxes\/manage-your-property-tax-account\/view-or-update-property-tax-account-information\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">View Property Tax Information<\/a> section. You can see your installment amounts and account balances.<\/p>\n<p>Tax rebates are available for low-income seniors (65+ years) and low-income persons with disabilities. To qualify, you must own your home, live in it for at least one year and meet other requirements. Apply by December 31 using the form on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mississauga.ca\/services-and-programs\/property-taxes\/apply-for-a-tax-rebate\/tax-rebate-for-residents-with-low-income\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Apply for a tax rebate<\/a> page. More information about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mississauga.ca\/publication\/financial-assistance-for-older-adults\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">financial help for older adults<\/a> is available online, including supports from the City, Region of Peel, provincial and federal governments.<\/p>\n<p>Switch to convenience with automatic payments<\/p>\n<p>Life gets busy. Keeping track of property tax bills, due dates and avoiding late fees can be a lot to manage. Try the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mississauga.ca\/services-and-programs\/property-taxes\/pay-property-tax-or-fix-a-payment-error\/pay-property-tax\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Pre-authorized Tax Payment (PTP)<\/a> plan for property taxes to be automatically withdrawn from your bank account. Payments can be made monthly or on regular installment due dates.<\/p>\n<p>How does it work:<\/p>\n<p>To sign up for the PTP plan, fill out and submit the online form.
