{"id":723503,"date":"2026-06-08T18:26:08","date_gmt":"2026-06-08T18:26:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/723503\/"},"modified":"2026-06-08T18:26:08","modified_gmt":"2026-06-08T18:26:08","slug":"driver-airlifted-to-hospital-dies-days-after-crash-north-of-brampton-police-investigating","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/723503\/","title":{"rendered":"Driver airlifted to hospital dies days after crash north of Brampton; police investigating"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Police are investigating after a man died days after being airlifted from the scene of a serious crash north of Brampton.<\/p>\n<p>The OPP says the single-vehicle crash happened on May 20 in the area of 3rd Line south of 5 Sideroad in Mono, approximately 40 kilometres north of Brampton.<\/p>\n<p>Police say the driver of a passenger van was towing a small utility trailer at the time of the crash.<\/p>\n<p>The adult male driver was rushed to hospital and then air-lifted to a Toronto-area trauma centre. The 81-year-old man died two days later due to the severity of his injuries, police say.<\/p>\n<p>The investigation into the crash is ongoing, and anyone with information can contact the OPP by calling 1-888-310-1122.
