Yanno, for a game in which the Sox only had five baserunners, made opener Ian Seymour<\/a> look like Clayton Viola-Koufax for four (!) innings, Tampa couldn\u2019t miss on challenges, and started with a leadoff home run by Yandy Diaz<\/a>, tonight\u2019s 3-1 loss wasn\u2019t all that bad imho. Connelly Early<\/a> pitched well and Marcelo Mayer<\/a> absolutely pasted a homer for Boston\u2019s only run:<\/p>\n

It was nice and tense and a good was to pass the time until the basketball game started, if nothing else. That\u2019s what baseball does, baby! Even the so-so kind.
