{"id":725609,"date":"2026-06-09T17:31:09","date_gmt":"2026-06-09T17:31:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/725609\/"},"modified":"2026-06-09T17:31:09","modified_gmt":"2026-06-09T17:31:09","slug":"tech-bloggers-says-workers-should-see-ai-as-a-co-worker-rather-than-threat","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/725609\/","title":{"rendered":"Tech Bloggers says Workers Should See AI as a \u2018Co-worker\u2019 Rather than Threat"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t&#13;<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/ai-technology-angus-reid-institute.jpg\" class=\"header-image\" alt=\"Tech Bloggers says Workers Should See AI as a 'Co-worker' Rather than Threat\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">(Angus Reid Institute)<\/p>\n<p>The f<a href=\"https:\/\/vocm.com\/2026\/06\/05\/carney-unveils-federal-artificial-intelligence-strategy\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">ederal government has launched a national AI strategy<\/a> that will ensure that Canadians are brought up to speed on the technology and integrate it into their lives. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/vocm.com\/2026\/06\/02\/survey-shows-canadians-want-ai-heavily-regulated-but-doubt-governments-can-keep-up-with-the-technology\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">There are fears however<\/a> about the impact the rapidly evolving technology could have on jobs \u2013 particularly white collar positions. <\/p>\n<p>Tech blogger Kevin Andrews says AI can create new opportunities in the workplace, and that instead of seeing AI as a threat it should be seen as a \u201ccoworker.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He says the most important thing people can do is learn.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think you want to think about the early days of the internet. There was a lot of uncertainty, a lot of excitement and concern and so I think over time society has adapted, created rules and learned how to use it.
