Carson Hocevar\u2019s controversial style may be upsetting some of his NASCAR<\/a> Cup Series rivals, whilst also prompting warnings from the likes of Dale Earnhardt. Jr.<\/a>, but this hasn\u2019t prevented Spire Motorsports from finding a new sponsor for the No. 77 Chevrolet.<\/p>\n

In an announcement on Friday, Spire revealed that 22-year-old Hocevar\u2019s ride will be sponsored by Modo Casino, in a deal covering four races, starting on August 23 when the Cup heads for Daytona for the Coke Zero Sugar 400 for the final regular season race of the year. It comes after he was recently sent a stark warning over future sponsorship deals.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

The sharp-looking livery on the 2024 Rookie of the Year<\/a>‘s car will feature a black and pink paint scheme, adorned with various neon casino-related icons, along with a series of stars. Following Daytona, it will also be used at Charlotte, Talladega, and Martinsville.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been looking forward to kicking off the Modo Casino partnership and introducing its games to the NASCAR world,\u201d Hocevar said<\/a>. \u201cModo Casino has been growing its presence through Formula 1 and working with content creators, so I\u2019m excited to join the team and continue building that growth.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for Modo, David Jumper, the CMO for the platform\u2019s producer, ARB Interactive, wrote, \u201cPartnering with Spire Motorsports aligns us with an iconic American sport and reinforces our commitment to creating unforgettable experiences for our players.\u201d<\/p>\n

This sponsorship deal follows a recent warning from Rick Ware Racing competition director, Tommy Baldwin. Speaking after Hocevar\u2019s eighth-place finish at the Iowa Corn 350, Baldwin said on an episode of the Door Bumper Clear podcast that the youngster\u2019s aggressive driving style and frequent on and off-track spats with rivals could eventually land him in hot water with sponsors<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe problem with Carson is the crew chief knows already, he\u2019s got a lot of talent,\u201d he said, adding, \u201cThere\u2019s no question about it.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s a lot of other people coming up that also has a lot of talent and knows how to race better than him. He needs to be careful, because things happen quickly in our sport. Business people, sponsors, get tired of it.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs much as everybody wants to think about the situation with Kyle Busch at Joe Gibbs Racing, I don\u2019t care what anyone says \u2014 they got tired of it. As good as he was, and how great of a race car driver he is, and as many wins as he\u2019s had, they just get tired of it.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Hocevar\u2019s second full-time Cup Series season has already seen him get on the wrong side of Ross Chastain<\/a>, Kyle Busch<\/a>, Ricky Stenhouse Jr.<\/a>, and Ryan Blaney<\/a>, among others. The most recent incident saw Hocevar and Brad Keselowski clash after qualifying at Watkins Glen, with the RFK-Racing driver and co-owner sprinting down pit lane to angrily confront Hocevar<\/a>.<\/p>\n
