{"id":726435,"date":"2026-06-10T01:36:09","date_gmt":"2026-06-10T01:36:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/726435\/"},"modified":"2026-06-10T01:36:09","modified_gmt":"2026-06-10T01:36:09","slug":"ios-27-beta-has-a-bunch-of-references-to-the-iphone-fold","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/726435\/","title":{"rendered":"iOS 27 beta has a bunch of references to the iPhone Fold"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Apple unveiled iOS 27 at <a href=\"https:\/\/mobilesyrup.com\/2026\/06\/08\/five-big-announcements-from-wwdc-26\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">its latest WWDC event<\/a> this week, <a href=\"https:\/\/mobilesyrup.com\/2026\/06\/08\/apple-siri-ai-app\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">showcasing all kinds of new features<\/a> that will drop with the new version of its OS.<\/p>\n<p>However, people who have gotten their hands on the iOS 27 developer beta have found within it some\u00a0information about\u00a0another Apple release: <a href=\"https:\/\/mobilesyrup.com\/2026\/05\/26\/iphone-fold-pre-assembly-issues\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the long-rumoured foldable iPhone<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/samhenrigold\/status\/2064069948486320528\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">As spotted by product designer Sam Henri Gold<\/a>, the beta includes references to terms like \u201cfoldState\u201d and \u201cangleDegrees\u201d and multiple screens, which, of course, would apply to a foldable instead of a single-screen smartphone.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">iOS 27 framework references \u201cfoldState\u201d and \u201cangleDegrees\u201d but I\u2019m sure that\u2019s nothing <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/PcYNVvymms\" rel=\"nofollow\">pic.twitter.com\/PcYNVvymms<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 sam henri gold (@samhenrigold) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/samhenrigold\/status\/2064069948486320528?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow\">June 8, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/9to5mac.com\/2026\/06\/08\/apple-leaks-foldable-iphone-references-in-ios-27-beta\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">9to5Mac\u00a0confirmed<\/a> that these references weren\u2019t present in iOS 26. Additionally, Apple\u2019s WWDC State of the Union developer presentation noted that support for resizing iPhone apps both on iPad and within macOS mirroring, another indicator of adapting to a new form factor.<\/p>\n<p>All of this adds more fuel to the fire that Apple is planning to launch the long-rumoured iPhone Fold, and possibly soon, at that.
