Ahead of the Tour, Team Visma | Lease a Bike organized a drawing competition in which children could put their cycling dreams on paper using a downloadable template. What the participants did not know was that the best drawings would not only win prizes, but would also literally ride along in the biggest women’s cycling race in the world.<\/p>\n
That surprise is now being revealed. Riders from the team personally visited the winners to present them with the jersey featuring their own drawing.<\/p>\n
One of those special moments took place at Het Spoor primary school in Zeist, The Netherlands, where seven-year-old Duco received a surprise visit. The team car drove onto the schoolyard, a rider entered the classroom, and presented Duco with the Tour jersey featuring his drawing.
