NASCAR driver Christopher Bell has suffered a fractured wrist after the crash at Michigan International Speedway<\/p>\n
On Sunday at Michigan International Speedway, Christopher Bell was injured in a crash with Chase Elliott.<\/p>\n
Elliott got loose under Bell. As he corrected, Elliott went straight up the track. Bell was shoved into the wall at a high rate of speed.<\/p>\n
Watch the crash video here<\/a><\/p>\n The other drivers in the field reacted with shock over their team radios.<\/p>\n Both drivers were able to climb from their cars. Elliott was checked and quickly released from the infield care center.<\/p>\n Bell took a bit more time in the care center. There was no interview from him after the crash. But a photo circulated online showing Bell walking to the plane with a cast as he left the track.<\/p>\n Today, Joe Gibbs Racing has confirmed that Christopher Bell suffered a fractured wrist in the crash. Despite the injury, Bell will be behind the wheel this weekend at Pocono Raceway!<\/p>\n Joe Gibbs Racing statement<\/p>\n \u201cChristopher Bell suffered a fractured left wrist after an accident on lap 148 of Sunday\u2019s NASCAR Cup Series race at Michigan International Speedway,\u201d JGR opened in a release.<\/p>\n \u201cAfter being evaluated and released from the infield care center, Bell returned home to North Carolina where X-rays\u00a0confirmed\u00a0the fracture.\u00a0Bell has been cleared and will be behind the wheel of the No. 20 Toyota Camry XSE this weekend at Pocono Raceway.\u201d<\/p>\n Christopher Bell comments<\/p>\n \u201cThank you to each and everyone who reached out to check on me, I truly feel the love,\u201d Bell stated.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m grateful for my team of doctors, JGR, NASCAR and all of the previous drivers who have helped pave the way for the safety standards in our sport.
