Jimmy Kimmel<\/a> on Tuesday mocked President Donald Trump<\/a> for the very rowdy reception<\/a> he received from Knicks fans while attending Game 3 of the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden on Monday. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe team didn\u2019t want this,\u201d Kimmel pointed out. \u201cSo they were smart. They tried something clever: They showed him on the Jumbotron during the national anthem when it\u2019s frowned upon to boo.\u201d <\/p>\n

Indeed, that\u2019s the precise moment Trump was featured on the massive screen above the court. But, as Kimmel noted: \u201cThat strategy did not work at all.\u201d <\/p>\n

The crowd jeered and booed<\/a> the president as he stood and saluted during the anthem.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey say that was the loudest the president has been booed at a sporting event since Abe Lincoln flipped the coin at the Cotton Bowl,\u201d Kimmel cracked. <\/p>\n

Yet, what happened next really caught Kimmel\u2019s attention.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was nap time,\u201d Kimmel said over footage of the president seemingly dozing off<\/a> during the game. Trump, he said, \u201cspent who knows how many millions of taxpayer dollars to get there, and he goes out like a light.\u201d <\/p>\n

Kimmel was stunned that anyone could nod off during such a pivotal event. <\/p>\n

\u201cWho can fall asleep during the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden?\u201d he asked. \u201cDo you know how out of it you have to be?\u201d<\/p>\n

Kimmel also reminded viewers that Trump used to attack former President Joe Biden,<\/a> calling him \u201cSleepy Joe\u201d for his lack of energy. <\/p>\n

\u201cI hope Joe Biden<\/a> was watching this and laughing his ass off last night,\u201d Kimmel said.<\/p>\n

The Knicks had been on a historic 13-game winning streak until the president turned up, Kimmel noted. <\/p>\n

\u201cBasically, he did to the Knicks last night what he\u2019s gonna do to Republicans<\/a> in Congress come November,\u201d Kimmel said. \u201cHe hit \u2019em with a jinx.\u201d <\/p>\n
