{"id":727537,"date":"2026-06-10T13:22:46","date_gmt":"2026-06-10T13:22:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/727537\/"},"modified":"2026-06-10T13:22:46","modified_gmt":"2026-06-10T13:22:46","slug":"halifax-clinic-opens-for-after-hours-use-for-non-emergency-services","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/727537\/","title":{"rendered":"Halifax clinic opens for after-hours use for non-emergency services"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Downtown Halifax has a new option for those looking for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nshealth.ca\/news-and-notices\/new-mobile-clinic-opens-downtown-halifax\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">timely access to non-urgent medical care.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>According to Nova Scotia Health, the Citadel Health Home on Dresden Row has opened as a part-time mobile health clinic.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nshealth.ca\/news-and-notices\/new-mobile-clinic-opens-downtown-halifax\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Announced on Friday in a release<\/a>, the healthy authority says the clinic sees patients connected to one of its physicians or nurse practitioners during the day, but it will now offer help for prescription renewals, sore throats, headaches, fever, cold or flu or other non-urgent health issues after hours on specific days.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe know people can\u2019t always wait to see their own family doctor or nurse practitioner,\u201d said Jasmine Asad, a primary healthcare manager with Nova Scotia Health in the release. \u201cAnd sometimes they need to be seen in-person instead of virtually.
