A northwest Edmonton golf course will tee off for the final time this year as the property prepares for redevelopment into an industrial business park.<\/p>\n

Twin Willows Golf Club, located at 14110 156th St. NW, confirmed to Daily Hive that it will close following the 2026 season after 61 years of operations. The land has been sold, but club representatives declined to comment on the reasons behind the sale.<\/p>\n

The property was sold to real estate development company Panattoni, which plans to transform the site into a business park that could support up to two million square feet of industrial space.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re pleased to announce Panattoni\u2019s acquisition of Twin Willows Business Park, a 100\u2011acre industrial development site in Edmonton, located in one of the region\u2019s most active industrial corridors,\u201d Panattoni announced in a Facebook post.<\/p>\n

Named after the two willow trees that still stand beside the ninth fairway, Twin Willows first opened in 1965 with its front nine holes.<\/p>\n

The course became known for its large tree-lined fairways and traditional layout. A second nine-hole expansion, designed by Robert Kains Golf Course Design, built by Bet-Can Industrial, opened on Aug. 2, 2003.<\/p>\n

According to Panattoni, land servicing and site construction are expected to begin in 2027.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe look forward to advancing the project with build\u2011to\u2011suit opportunities as part of the initial phase,\u201d the company said.<\/p>\n
