\n\tEXCLUSIVE: Comedian Druski<\/a> is the latest actor to join the Universal pic The Catch<\/a> starring Emma Stone<\/a> and Chris Pine<\/a>. Ashley Padilla also recently joined<\/a> the cast. Dave McCary will direct the film, which is set to bow on May 21, 2027<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tJen Statsky and Travis Helwig wrote\u00a0the\u00a0most recent draft of\u00a0the\u00a0script. Patrick Kang and Michael Levin wrote\u00a0the\u00a0original spec script. While details are being kept under wraps, sources say the film is a baseball rom-com in the vein of Bull Durham and Notting Hill. Sources say Druski will play Stone\u2019s security guard.<\/p>\n

\n\tStone, McCary and Ali Herting will produce through Fruit Tree\u2019s first-look deal with Universal Pictures, with Shawn Levy and Dan Levine producing through 21 Laps. Michael H. Weber will also produce.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tSenior EVP Production Development Erik Baiers and Director of Production Development Jacqueline Garell will oversee the project for the studio.<\/p>\n

\n\tDruski previously starred in the Universal film\u00a0Praise This. He will also be\u00a0hosting the 2026 BET Awards, airing live on BET from L.A.\u2019s Peacock Theater on June 28. He will be the youngest-ever host in the BET Awards\u2019 25-year history.\u00a0<\/p>\n
