The Oscar-winning actor opened up about his emotional age in a rare interview for Esquire<\/a>, where he was interviewed by director Paul Thomas Anderson. The two collaborated together for the first time in their upcoming film, \u201cOne Battle After Another.\u201d <\/p>\n

While DiCaprio took Anderson\u2019s questions seriously, the internet had nothing but jokes in return. <\/p>\n

Anderson asked DiCaprio, \u201cIf you didn\u2019t know how old you are, how old are you right now?\u201d and the \u201cWolf of Wall Street\u201d actor replied, \u201cThirty-two.\u201d<\/p>\n

Later on in the interview, Anderson shared that Esquire wanted him to ask DiCaprio, \u201cYou turned fifty last year. Does it feel like a natural time for reflection?\u201d <\/p>\n

DiCaprio responded, mimicking the magazine, \u201c\u2018You turned emotionally thirty-five last year.\u2019\u201d <\/p>\n

Despite the rest of DiCaprio\u2019s answer about age and the next few decades ahead of him, people latched on to the actor\u2019s response because of his well-known interest in dating women in their early 20s. <\/p>\n

DiCaprio and his current love interest, 27-year-old model Vittoria Ceretti, have a 23-year age gap. <\/p>\n

\u201cEven in his mind, he\u2019s still older than his girlfriends,\u201d writer Elizabeth Gulino quipped in an article for The Cut.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cHe has a problematic age gap with himself,\u201d another Twitter user joked. <\/p>\n

The rest of the responses were gold. <\/p>\n

Other users on X pointed out that it\u2019s common for people to not feel their age. <\/p>\n
